I am a 52 yr old Scottish student. They didn't teach much grammar nor writing skills when I was at school. Through working with Anne, my writing has really improved. I am a more confident when it comes to writing essays and presentations. Anne's method of teaching is very interactive which I like. I found she was very kind in her approach when addressing the mistakes I made. I found her to be a warm, approachable teacher. I've been recommending her to my friends.
Anne is a professional, highly passionate and experienced tutor. I've been taking the evening general English course offered by SSC for about 2 months now, I've learnt a lot in terms of native way to speak English and essay writing. The teaching materials use and the topics discussed in the classes are very relevant and up-to-date. Anne is willing to form a small evening class to accommodate my needs as I'm a working adult and I cannot attend any day classes. So for any working adult out there that wish to improve your English level, I highly recommend this course.
I’m an intern at SSC. I had a great time here: Anne helped me improve my English and my skills as well. I recommend it to everybody who wants to enjoy an experience abroad and to learn about Scottish culture. Also if you are interested in oriental languages, Korean and Japanese are taught here as well.
I took SSC's Academic English Language and Skills course as you needed to improve my academic writing, presentation and discussion skills for the Visiting Research Training programme (Ph.D. level) at The University of Edinburgh. Anne is an excellent teacher, and the classes were dynamic and useful to my specific purposes. The course was designed to cover academic topics and skills, but the sessions were also tailored to suit my specific language and skills needs. Highly recommendable!
Both my children have joined the private Japanese lessons and they are really enjoying it and progressing very well. They are now starting to offer a 'Parent and child' class, which I am very much looking forward to joining as I would also like to pick up the language. I highly recommend Scotland Study Centre, they are very professional and cater their lessons to suit any age or ability.
